What can I expect from treatment with dental implants?

After an initial examination of your teeth, we will take impressions, photographs and X-rays of your smile so we can create a custom restoration (like a crown or bridge), which will be the “tooth” part of the implant. The implant is surgically placed into your jawbone and left to fuse with it over a period of around 6 months, with your body accepting it and allowing it to make itself at home in your jawbone. Your jawbone is protected from shrinkage as it will receive the stimulation it needs to stay healthy. We can then fit the restoration over the top once the implant has fused. In turn, you can leave the practice with your brand-new implant.
